Hey there, Sweet Friends, it's Cynthia at Create With Cynthia and I am here to show you how I created my Nutcracker Christmas table setting.

This is the table setting that I will be using for my Christmas dinner. I hope it inspires you to create a tablescape you adore. I know your guests will be forever grateful and enjoy it.

Determine your table linens first. I chose a white tablecloth and faux runner.

Next, I chose a theme for my table. I decided on the Nutcracker theme. These small salad plates accented the theme nicely.

I gathered all of my place settings together; gold chargers, white plates, nutcracker plates, glassware, silverware and cream colored napkins.

Next, I began working on each place setting by stacking the plates. Charger, then white plate, then nutcracker salad plate.

Once the plates were in place, I moved on to adding the glassware.

I chose a vintage drinking glass and a gilded wine glass for each place setting.

The gold silverware was plastic but honestly looked real (in my opinion). It is a sturdy plastic and will hand wash well to be used again and again.

A bowl of walnuts with nutcrackers seemed appropriate for this theme.

The nutcrackers allows guest to crack some nuts while they are conversing with friends and family. I think the nuts and nut crackers add a festive touch.

Each guest had a place card setting. The place card setting was a mini chalkboard with a clip on the back. I used chalk to write each name.

The place card clipped nicely to the nutcracker plate and the napkin rolled up, nestled, underneath the clip well.

Next, I used a galvanized rectangular tray to capture my centerpiece of "all things nutcracker."

My centerpiece included a nutcracker doll, white houses, white christmas trees, musical instruments, and sheet music rolled up with twine.

I rolled the sheet music and tied it with twine. I used it on the centerpiece, as well as, on my chairs.

What I love most about the centerpiece is that it can easily be removed from the table so that food can then be placed in it's spot.

For my holidays, I like to adorn my chairs with something beautiful. I used ribbon to attach a green star to each chair.

I then stuck a rolled up sheet of music tied with twine into the star.
