This kind of Christmas decoration is very common in scandinavian countries and it is the easiest DIY project I have ever done so give it a try...

You will need an old book which is easy to buy at a local flea market. It should have more than 200 pages. This fact is very important because the more pages it has the more beautiful it will look. The less pages you use the more space will be between the pages.

You will also need glue to stick the first and the last page together.

You need an old book with more than 200 pages. First step is to remove the hard cover which you won`t need.
Start with the first page and continue one after another. Fold the right upper corner of the page to the center of the book. Make sure you fold it exactly and strongly - it will look better at the end...
Take the corner you made in the previous step and fold it to the center again.
The last folding step is important to make a straight bottom so the tree can stand alone. So fold the last corner right as shown in this photo. As you end the last page you can stick the pages together...
