Usually they can be found at thrift stores. To make one decide on a theme. You could get a stuffed toy and decorate from that starting point.

Have you thought about searching the visuals on Pinterest or ersy for inspiration? There is a wealth of ideas and visual inspiration there for your consideration. That might lead you to decide on an idea or theme. After that Iā€™ll be assembling materials and starting your project.

Ebay pinterest and etsy can give good ideas to start from.

My niece took a plain red sweater and attached a bunch of knitted pom poms. She added a small cinnamon broom to the center. She won the ugly Christmas sweater contest at her group gathering.

Sarah...You can start with a sweatshirt and cut it in the center like a cardigan then add ribbon, anything christmas and have a good time with it. The more stuff the uglier! Hope you win!

I would download one you like on the internet (or copy one you've seen) and reproduce it on an old sweater using felt, fabric scraps, trims, etc. Being homemade, it may just be the ugliest one anyway haha!šŸŽ„šŸŽ„šŸŽ„šŸŽ„
