How do I quickly change decor from fall to Christmas?

Fall is my favorite time of year. Three whole months of the same decor. The colors of fall, fit my house perfectly. However, quickly switching over from fall to Christmas is always a challenge. I do not do outside lights. Nor do I put up the traditional large tree. I've downsized to two 4 ft pre-decorated trees in the red and greens. I am an active 78 year old widow who takes pride in her home and has people over for pot luck dinners on a regular basis. I have a 10 inch deep fireplace mantel, and decorate 2 large dining tables, coffee table, entry table, etc. I have collected things through the years but get tired of the same old look as time goes by. Outside of my dining tables, I have attempted to use larger items instead of so many smaller things. I like the idea of having something a little different, something that is unusual and catches your eye, in every room. There's no children or grandchildren locally. Any ideas for me to try? Thanks for any input you have.

my suggestion would be to incorporate the autumnal colors into your Christmas decorations. You can get almost anything in any color these days just think out of the box— in New Orleans if Mardi Gras is really close to Christmas we swap put ornaments with beads— leave lights and garland— really festive! Go for it!

Hi. Sparkle! Add shiny golds and silver and candy apple reds to your existing decor. Use battery operated string lights and a snow flake or two here and there. All this lends itself to a winter wonderland where the snow has not yet taken over. Happy decorating!

The quickest and easiest way to switch would be your table decor. Placemats, centerpiece, and napkins would take less than 10 minutes to switch out and completely change the look and feel of the room. You could use garland that is leaves but in silver that would work for both. Topiaries would work well and are large, easy to swap out or do one side for each and turn to the wall. That's what I do with pumpkins from Halloween to Thanksgiving.
