How do I safely raise the height of a Christmas tree?
I have a unique new artificial red Christmas tree that is 6ft tall. I would like a suggestion on how to safely raise the height of the tree prior to decorating.

Build a box for it and drape a tree skirt around it, a piece of holiday fabric or paint the box to coordinate with your decor.
I raised my Christmas trees by placing them in large crocks and baskets. You can check out some of my ideas here http://beautyforasheshome.com/cozy-christmas-living-room-tour/
Easy! Find a sturdy cardboard box wide enough for the tree base to fit on, and tall enough to raise your tree a foot. The tree topper will be taller than any of your guests. And you can cover the whole base with a tablecloth and a pile of wrapped presents. The red tree sure takes me back. I wanted a blue tree and could not afford it, years ago. Have some fun with your tree! ☺️
Search hometalk "Chistmss tree base".
Hi Dorothy! I used an old pallet, and secured the tree stand with screws into the pallet, then covered the pallet and stand with a white sheet. This was sturdy and provided a base for my Christmas village and train. Hope this helps a bit and Happy Holidays!😊🎄
How about a wooden crate? Would be about the right size and maybe not require covering up.
Depending upon the size of the base, a milk crate might work covered over with an over-sized tree skirt or holiday themed table cloth.
I put my six foot tree on a small round ottoman or I also have a sturdy small round patio table that is a bit shorter than a sofa side table.
