A reusable wreath on the door, a big red ribbon wrapped around your lamp post and mailbox and maybe a string of white or colored lights framing the inside of front windows of your house. Easy placement, easy removal and easy storage. I would nab the most beautiful permanent wreath at an after Christmas sale and keep that stored until you need it each year for the holidays.
I like to use little fairy lights not only during the holidays for a festive look but throughout the year. They can be strung along your mantle, hung behind sheer curtains, or placed in a tall vase. You might also tack a string of them to the wall making a Christmas tree outline. I have a couple of holiday covers for throw pillows on my sofa. They zip off and take up very little storage space. You can also pick up a few things from the dollar store or a thrift store and then donate them after the holidays. Of course, fragrance is available in many forms and the scent of sugar cookies or evergreen trees immediately evoke a feeling of Christmas.
