Repurposed Wine Bottle for Holiday Decor

recently became the owner of a big, beautiful Livingston Burgandy wine bottle. Unfortunately I cannot claim that I drank any of it (sigh), but nevertheless I am pretty proud of this exciting new find.
In fact, this bottle caused quite the scene in my household when I brought it home. Can you believe that my husband actually asked me if I paid for this thing? Hahaha.
Anyways, I knew as soon as saw this little beauty at my local junk/thrift shop I would be repurposing it into something that could be used year after year.
P.S. I did NOT pay for it by the way. Just wanted to clear that up in case there was any confusion. ;)
First things first, I had to clean this baby up for decorating purposes. Thankfully this label and bottle had been residing outside for the past millennium so it was a breeze to take off! All it needed was a little bit of soapy water and a scrub brush.
Next, for safety purposes, I added a little bit of water, soap and bleach to clean out the inside.
I wrapped a little bit of twine around the top to hide the screw top opening. If you have problems with getting your twine to stay use hot glue to keep it in place while you wrap it around.

Then, a little bit of nature. Branches attached with pinecones, a few deer antlers, a little bit of burlap and my favorite--a wood slice.

And that's all folks! I know what you're thinking… I'm a really classy lady. I get that a lot ;)
