Scrap Flooring Sign

So I just replaced my ugly kitchen tile with some beautiful luxury vinyl planks. They look like real wood and the coloring is gorgeous!
Well, after I was done with the floor I was cleaning up the scrap pieces that were cut and couldn't be used.
This flooring is so pretty I couldn't let it go to waste.
I saved the scraps and take a look at what I made with a piece of it!

After I picked out the piece of scrap I wanted to use, I purchased a wood cutout from Michael'l and painted it white.
I adhered the cutout to the flooring with a hot glue gun, drilled holes in the corner to put twine through to hang it up and voila! I love my new little Christmas sign!
Can you even tell that I used vinyl flooring?
Enjoyed the project?

Kelleysgirl on Dec 05, 2016We just installed some similar flooring, may be the same one, and I was thinking of doing a wall hanging with the scraps--great minds think alike! I am glad you did it first so I could see how great it came out! Now I will definitely do one, but probably not seasonal so I can use year-round. This is just beautiful!! Thanks for posting!!
