Here is my easy and inexpensive acorn craft project.
Main materials you will need are acorns and nail polish of gold, silver or bronze color. For this project nail polish works even better than acrylic paint, it gives a nice thick layer and nail polish is cheaper.

Step 1: Paint an acorn and a cap with nail polish. Let them dry completely.
Step 2: Make two holes in an acorn cap with an awl.
Step 3: Insert a thread.
Step 4: Glue a cap to an acorn with a super glue, hot glue or any strong glue you have at hand.
Done! A shiny acorn accessory can be used as a Christmas tree decoration:
Or you can use it as a bag accessory. I used small beads to make a chain. Also make sure to use a strong thread like polyester (nylon) not a cotton one which can be broken easy.
A keychain can be also a nice idea.
