Looking for a fun and easy way to update your candles for the holidays? Well, here's the project for you! You'll love these sparkling candles, you'll want to put them all over your home!

Here's what you'll need:

candle

an image to place on your candle (I used a bag)

Mod Podge

iridescent Glitter

Hair spray

These are the bags that I found at the Dollar Tree, I just loved the adorable Santa, so I grabbed a bunch. They were 3 for $1 and with two sides to work with, I had 6 images to use.

First step is to cut the image out how you'd like it to appear on the candle.

Next step is the mod podge! I used this new sparkle one which you can also find at the Dollar Tree in the craft aisle.

For the full coverage I used this iridescent Glitter

Using a paint brush begin applying your mod podge to the candle, and then on the back of the image.

Then I adhered the image to the candle just by pressing and rubbing smoothly. Once it's smooth, let it dry!

Next step, apply mod podge all over the candle! Once it's all covered, dump that glitter all over it! Tip, do this over a plate so the excess glitter can be poured back in the jar.

Cover it all up with glitter!

Now set it down and let dry. Once it is dry, seal it with a light spray of hair spray to hold on all the glitter.

Then they are ready to go on display for the holidays!

They make great gifts as well!

They’re really cute but are they safe to burn? I don’t know about Modge Podge but I believe hairspray is flammable.
