If you're looking for something unique and elegant to add to your festive table decor, you're going to love this easy to make, whimsical feathered Christmas tree.

They only take about 1/2 hour to make and you can have loads of fun decorating them. We used jewelry wire and some rhinestone crystal charms for ours, but small baubles will work too. It's up to you.

The little tree looks great on the mantle too and can be made in various sizes. To make the feathered Christmas tree you'll need:

  • A Styrofoam cone
  • Double sided tape
  • Craft wire. Look for a 16 – 18 gauge wire
  • A small bucket or container
  • Pretty beads, baubles and craft wire for decorations
  • Feathers icon

Start at the bottom of the cone and wrap the double-sided tape all the way around the cone.

Add the feathers making sure the base of the Styrofoam cone is covered.

Wrap the double sided tape over the first layer of feathers and repeat.

Work your way up and around the cone and be sure to overlap the new layer of feathers over the previous layer until you reach the top of the cone.

Wrap some jewelry wire around the top.......

.... and the elegant feather Christmas tree is ready to be decorated. I used a few rhinestones charms ....

.....and curly wurly shapes made from the jewelry wire for ours.

Small Christmas baubles would look lovely too. Just use a glue gun to glue them onto the tree icon Place the feathered Christmas Tree on a small bucket or container so the feathers can drape downwards to display.

I'd love to know what you think of the feathered Christmas trees. How you would decorate yours?
