Christmas Picture Upcycle

A few years ago, my husband and I used to go to yard sales. I hate paying full price for anything- a trait I inherited from my mom- and if I can get it used, that is even better.
The picture below we bought for less than $10. It has been hanging in our house since we bought it. I love how the frame is chipped and worn. The picture isn't my favorite, but Jeff loves it, so we keep it up.
It hangs in our dining room, and with the holidays here, that is also where I put our tree. I decided I wanted it to look more Christmasy, and I decided to put my Krylon easy tack to good use
I measured inside the frame, only the size of the picture.
I cut a piece of poster board the size that I measured.
I cut two inch strips of some scrapbook paper I had, and lay them out to make sure I had enough to cover the poster board.
I used a glue stick to glue them down, let dry and cut all the edges straight. I wanted to use what I had on hand for this project, so I took some chipboard letters, and traced around them onto some scrapbook paper. If I do this project again, I will use larger letters.
I used my glue stick to attach the letters, and then I sprayed my Easy Tack onto the back.
I positioned it and pressed until it stuck.

This was a very easy project to do, and I am already thinking of an all season replacement for after Christmas.
