Tips and Tricks to Decorate Your Tree Like A Professional

Here are some tips on how to make your Christmas tree look like a professional designer decorated it.
Tip 1: Need to add lights? Begin by taking your tree apart. My tree has three pieces. As you finish adding lights to each section, add the next.
Tip 2: To attach the lights to your tree, use colored pipe cleaners. Cut it half and then in half again. This is the perfect size.
Tip 3: Attach the lights to the bottom of each branch. When you come to the tip, attach the lights to the top of each branch. Continue up the tree until all of the branches are wired.
Tip 4: Cover all of the wires with the branches so they are hidden from sight.
Tip 5: Use two different size lights; however, don’t use two different colors such as bright white and soft white.
Even if your tree comes prelit, add additional lights that are a size larger.
Tip 6: When adding ornaments, don’t forget to hang a few inside the tree near the trunk.
Tip 7: Use “fancy” hooks to hang the ornaments.
Tip 8: Create bunches of smaller ornaments. Straighten a regular ornament hook and thread the ornaments onto the hook. Twist the end together and hang the bunch with another hook.
Tip 9: Don‘t have a tree skirt, use a tablecloth or blanket.
Tip 10: Use different size and shaped ornaments. This will add interest to your tree.
Tip 11: When your puppy falls asleep beneath the tree, take lots of pictures :)
