Traditional and Simple Holiday Home Tour

I'm sharing my home decorated for the holiday season. My goal was to create a home that embraces the season without going overboard with decorations. I have used a few pops of traditional red, real and faux greenery, vintage and thrifted items, and a few DIY's to create a joyful and festive home.
I decorated my dining room with natural elements for a casual and rustic feel. My dining room table was a thrifted piece that I painted last spring. The vintage chair with it's beautiful aged patina was also thrifted item that I left as is. I added a few pieces of cedar to the vintage wood bead chandelier that I found on Craigslist.
Pomegranates and bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, pine cones, and birch candle holders create a natural and simple table setting.
Traditional reds and greens for the tree with some home made ornaments.
The entry was decorated with a few seasonal items - a red stocking, antique skates, and seasonal greens. Still plenty of room for coats and backpacks.
The master bedroom was left neutral to create a cozy and calm winter retreat.
Our chicken coop even got a bit of holiday cheer! For the full tour with lots of photos, please come visit my blog. Happy Holidays from my flock to yours.
