I love birds, eggs and nests. I love them any time of the year, but Easter always seems like the perfect timing for the new life that nests seems to signify. These moss nests are super simple and fun to make...a bit messy, but isn't that the fun of any great craft project?
These are really easy to make, and they look so real. By adding your own touches...you can make them as simple, complicated, large or small as you like.
You need Sphagnum moss...and as many other types of moss you like...some spray adhesive, spray sealer, and bits of sticks, leaves and other naturals. AND...of course, eggs.
Gather some sphagnum moss and spray with spray adhesive and begin to shape your nest. Spray and add moss until you get the general shape and size of nest you like.
Now begin to add other types of moss and naturals randomly until it looks like you like.
Add some great looking eggs..and you have an awesome nest.
You can give this nest a stick base....or even place it on a wreath like I did. That just spells Easter to me!
