How to make Fabrege eggs from Styrofoam eggs. Slice into egg , cut material into a cat like eye. Tuck into the slits of eggs. Cover with trimming i.e.: beads, trimming, cording.
All you need: glue to extra secure bead work , sharpie to mark the lines on your eggs, an exact knife to cut into egg, half the length of blade used. Cut into deep to egg it will split open. Deep enough to push the material in with back half of blade.
These are some eggs done, line on the and where to cut and a template. It's easier to cut the right size for the right egg.
Bigger egg bigger template.
Here's what it looks like with material tucked into egg. Egg in background is bigger and see the lines on it.
Box of goodies contains trimming , leftover material , beads on a string. Right side of box is beads on a string.
Cluster of eggs I've made over the seasons.
The string in the pic has a pin in it. To put in the egg to draw even straight lines. I have a tiny egg to about the size of an Ostrich egg. That has a ring to sit on for a center piece.
Here's a pic of the same,but a better shot.
Hope all this helps. The writing of instructions is the hardest for me. Here's my Dabbing Santa! Happy Holidays to one and all.
