Golden Easter Eggs With Pearls

$5.00

Easter Eggs don't have to be brightly colored or pastel! Try making some Golden Eggs that are glammed up with pearls!
My idea for this started when I spotted this gold tray at Goodwill recently. It was only .99. It just needed to have the sticker removed and it was ready to use.
I bought a pack of craft eggs. I like that these are smooth, without any markings on them. I already had some gold paint on hand. It's Folk Art Metallic. It gives a matte finish which is what I wanted for this project.
I found these pearl borders at Michaels in the scrapbooking section. They have adhesive backing. I cut the strips down to the size I needed and wrapped them around each egg.
The pearls give the golden eggs a little touch of glam.
I had a couple of pearl garland strands in my craft stash and they were just what I needed to add to the tray. The eggs are nestled on top of the pearls.
If you're looking for something other than pastels for Easter, give this a try!

I have lots of trouble getting craft paint to adhere to plastic. Are the eggs you used made from something different? Love your project!!!
