Extra Large Outdoor Serving Tray

I had an old tray laying around and it really needed a new look. At the same time I was anxious to add some more color and decor to our outdoor space.

The first thing I did was to paint the tray a deep blue color to match the accessories on our deck. This blue is in the rug, the pillows and I even used it to update the tops of a few lanterns.

I used a pouncing tool and a large feather stencil to stencil a couple of feathers in the center of the tray. This is the first time I've used a large pouncer with a handle that I found at the craft store and it worked very well.

I used a chalky white paint for the feathers them let the feathers dry overnight. In the morning I added a couple coats of Fusion Mineral Paint sealer on the tray to protect it from the elements.

I let the sealer dry overnight and my tray was ready for the deck!
