I'm at the beginning stages of planning out my daughter's room makeover. She's 11 and has definite design ideas: color, boho and celestial, plus lots of fun DIY projects.

This boho garland is the first project for the room so far. It was super easy and we worked on it together. It features glittery feathers and pom poms in alternating colors, perfect for a tween boho bedroom!

We started with these wooden feathers, paint and glitter paint.

The feathers were all painted in pink, blue or purple.

After the paint dried, we added the glitter paint to the feather tips.

We also made pom poms in 3 different colors.

When the paint was dry, we strung the feathers onto a length of yarn, leaving about 8" between each feather.

We tied pom poms between each feather.

I always tie the ends of my garland in loops for easy hanging.

I love the combo of glittery feathers and pom poms!

It's going to look great in her room!

Here's how it looks hanging up. It's simple, but fun!
