I up cycle/,recycle a old wooden box of folder holder. I turned it into a service tray. It's a house warming gift for my brother. My great great uncle made this before I was a twinkle in my parents eyes. Sorry forgot to take a before picture how it looked before primed it.
Primed and then painted white. I used craft paint I buy from walmart. This is winter white paint but I don't have a good camera on my tablet.
Painted the bottom green. You can paint whatever colds you like. I didn't want to use all my white because I use white to lighten up some of my darker paints.
Although these stick on gems look gold in the picture. I used clear crystal. I used super glue so they stick on better. I also wore rubber gloves so as not to get glue on my fingers. If don't have gloves when using super glue you can use finger nail polish with accatone not sure of spelling.
I used clay flowers for only the front. You can use Silk or gems or sea shells or whatever you like. Super glued these to.
Try best to give you front view. I painted a vine all around the box. Choose any saying or words you like.
This is the bottom I used craft paint. I free handed everything because I wanted it to be special by me. This is finished look. Spray a clear coat over it. The side have same vine and purple flowers around it. Going though treatments this was relaxing project as a nice gift for my brother and his wife. Oh you can't tell but I used glitter glue for on the green and over the good paint. I took about a hour break for paint on the first coat of white to dry and then painted second coat Allow at least two hours of you use a clear coat spray so the paint doesn't run.
