How to Make a Chic Farmhouse Tray

6 Materials

Making this chic farmhouse tray was so fun. Of course, creating any DIYs is a blast for me. However, this craft in particular was simple, quick, and came out looking so high end. The DIY is budget friendly and most of the materials came from the Dollar Tree, as usual. Remember, you can watch the replay of this video below.

In order to do this project, here’s what you need:

  • Candlestick
  • Plastic bowl
  • Hot glue gun
  • Black and white paint
  • Wreath
  • Candle

Firstly, to start your chic farmhouse tray, paint your candlestick black. You’ll then dry it with your hair dryer or allow it to air dry.

Secondly, paint your plastic bowl black. You will need two coats of black to completely cover the plastic bowl. Once you have done that, you can dry it with a hair dryer or allow to air dry.

Thirdly, add your glue to the top of your candlestick. I put a lot of glue on the top and I allowed it to sit for a couple of seconds.

Fourthly, flip your bowl over and press your candlestick down onto the top. This puts your chic farmhouse tray together. Also, I recommend holding the two together for a few minutes to ensure they are stuck together.

Afterwards, I wrapped some rope around the base of the candlestick to create that farmhouse feel. In addition to that, I used hot glue to secure the rope around the base.

Lastly, place your wreath and candle to the center of the bowl. This last step completes your chic farmhouse tray. Of course, you can add whatever you see fit in your tray.

Furthermore, I hope you loved this craft, it looks so high end but was so cheap! Check out the rest of the blog for more posts like this one. We’re also on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok and Youtube. Follow along on other platforms for more content, video, pictures and more!
