Hi! I love shopping. However I am more of a thrift store gal than a big box stores fan. Occasionally I will venture into the higher end stores just to see what the newest trends are. So there has been one mirror in particular I have been eyeing for quite some time however there is no way I would pay the price they were asking so I decided to duplicate my very in! I purchased the mirror for $20 on Facebook marketplace. Then I busted out my paint and got yo work!
I first cleaned it very very well with Lysol sanitizer wipes because it was pretty caked up with yuck and dust.
I then started off with a thin layer of my dolphin SeaPaint.
I then took my ocean storm and lightly went over the dolphin.
I then switched to a chippy brush for a more worn look and lightly dipped it in my ocean storm and went over the entire piece.
I like to kind if go back and forth and up and down to create a worn look!
For my last paint step I went over the entire mirror with sand dollar.
I am I credibly happy with this mirror makeover!!! I hope you enjoyed it and please check us out on Facebook at Sierra Stars furniture and gifts and please give us a like. Also check out my affiliate link to the paint I am using in this tutorial if you would like to purchase some for your next project.
