A diy statement piece for any room in your home. Revamp any old mirror you have with vinyl and gold studs.
I took an old mirror in serious need of tlc and revamped it with vinyl and gold studs. You can easily do this project to any mirror to give it some extra pazazz!
Grab all your materials needed for this project. The main materials of course are vinyl and a trusty glue gun.
1. Measure the sides of the mirror of your choice and cut a vinyl strip wide enough to cover the both side of inside and outside of the frame. Also make sure the length is align with the frame as well.

2. Cut an angle at both ends of the strip for an easy fold in the corners.

3. Wrap the vinyl around the frame as much as possible to cover the frame material. Take the glue gun and adhere the vinyl to the frame. For the corners, fold the end of the strip in between where the frame wood meets for a cleaner look.

4. Add the gold studs with the glue gun wherever you see fit. Note: If you have the studs with a claw like backing there is no need for the glue gun. The studs will grip to the vinyl just fine with the claw backing.

For the handle, measure a strip of vinyl and sew together along the sides. I took the glue gun to adhere the handle to the back because the backing was too thin for the nails I had. If you have the proper size nails, feel free to secure the handle for some extra security.

4. Take an exacto knife and cut the excess vinyl on the inside of the frame. For the back of the mirror glue down vinyl along the edge. Cut off any excess material on the back as well. Do this same process along the entire mirror.
