I badly needed a floor mirror to make sure I wasn't a hot mess when I left my home. Picked this ugly Dollar store mirror up and kept it in the garage for a couple of months hoping I would come up with a fabulous idea to give it some personality! Well today was that day!! Check it out!
Dollar Store mirror
Just a plain mirror from the local dollar store, $10 I believe. It is ready for a rustic elegant makeover.
Found these in my neighbors front yard, they were getting a beautiful new fence but I think their old fence is perfect so I grabbed them for different projects.
I used my nail gun to attach to existing frame. Paint original frame around edge before attaching. I painted mine a grey to blend with the wood.
Add your favorite embellishes
Now I am like a little bling with my rusticness, (that's not really a word but it fit's me). I took the screw out of these glass door knobs and put a cooper wire through the side and back hole, drilled two holes in back, twisted the wire tight to hold them. I added a favorite drawer pull to the top too.
I am addicted to skeleton keys!
On both sides I added antique skeleton keys and antique coat hangers.
I used the glass knobs and the coat hangers to hold some of my favorite necklaces. You could use them to hang scarves, bracelets etc.
There you have it, took me about an hour and now I have what I wanted but couldn't find in any store. Please check out my Facebook Page for more. Thanks!
