This bathroom mirror frame is easy to make and hang, and is especially useful for people who have frameless bathroom mirrors held on by mirror clips!

If you already have the mirror and mirror clips, the wood for the frame, some tie plates or pocket hole screws, 1/2" screws, and picture hangers are all you need for this project!

Start by cutting your wood pieces to size. If you're not sure what size pieces you'll need for the frame, I go into a ton of detail about this over on the full blog post, so check it out if you need to!

Attach the frame together using pocket hole screws, or if you don't have a pocket hole jig, tie plates.

Tie plates are super easy to use, so if you don't have a pocket hole jig, don't worry! This is still an easy project!

Secure the mirror clips to the back of the frame.

Attach picture hangers to the top of the frame. These will eventually hang the mirror and frame on the wall.

At this point, I actually tested the frame on the wall to make sure it worked and was the right size. To hang the frame, I used the same holes that were in the wall from when the frame was hung with the mirror clips.

Since the drywall anchors were already there, all I needed to do was put the screws in and leave them a little extended so that the picture hangers on my frame could catch them.

Then I took the frame back downstairs and spray painted it black.

Finally, I slid my mirror into the mirror clips, and hung the frame back on the wall!

The frame was easy to make, and I think it looks great, especially with the DIY Vanity Lights above it. Those lights were an awesome DIY, so if you want to upgrade your builder grade lighting, be sure to check them out.
