I have a couple of metal wall decor pieces that I had on my walls years ago. Rather than getting rid of them being the collector that I am I kept them figuring one day I might be able to use them. I decided to update one using some mirrors to give it a different look.

So here is the metal wall decor I chose to use. It was the larger of the two I had and I liked the design of it.

The first step was to update it by giving it a coat of paint. I had this black on hand so it is what I used.

These are the mirrors I will be using. I purchased them at Dollar Tree.

To secure them I will be using this glue, also purchased at Dollar Tree.

This piece had a lot of swirls, so I started by gluing my bigger mirror in the center and placing the smaller ones randomly. Once I had the placement it was time to glue. Be careful with this glue if you are using it as it will strip the paint off.

I wanted to add more detail to my wall decor so I purchased these self adhesive little fake gems in black and a silver.

I started with one end and started going around my decor, alternating between black and silver.

Continue to go around the entire piece.

So here it is complete. Now it is time to hang.

This now hangs on my dining room wall. A few materials have given this piece a whole new look.
