Mirror mirror on the wall.. what a beautiful ornate teal you are ;) This is how I changed up a traditional gold ornate mirror.

The first step was to clean the mirror glass and frame well. This is important as the mirror glass is easier to get in the edges when not freshly painted and the frame needs to be really clean. With so many grooves I used a small soft scrub brush.

Annie Sloan paint in Florence was my color of choice. Here you see the difference one coat makes.

I applied 2 full coats getting it all in the nooks and crannies, using a 1" synthetic paint brush.

With a wet soft cloth I wiped the paint back to reveal the gold ornateness. Isn't it such a pretty combination? You can wipe as little or as much as you desire.

To seal it all up I used Annie Sloan's clear wax with a soft cloth and wiping off the excess. Once it was dry it was buffed and just to add a bit more dimension I added a bit of Fusion Mineral ageing wax. It is perfection. Perfect to add just a bit of sparkle and grace to any room.
