Easy Pillows From Flour and Rice Sacks

I found these sacks at a garage sale for $1 each. I love the brightness of the flour sack and muted colors of the rice sack. I pulled out my sewing machine and made easy pillows out of them.
I really like the graphics on this one.
I cut down this flour sack to make a pillow that's about 18" square. I used the fold that was already on one side, so I just had to sew 2 1/2 sides on the machine. I filled this one with batting and then hand-sewed the last 6" of the bottom. It was so easy to sew on this fabric.
I used a Pottery Barn pillow insert for this rice sack. It fit perfectly! I then sewed the bottom by hand.
Even though some of the graphics are worn, I still think this is a neat bag.
