NO SEW MINI PILLOW HEARTS FOR THE RED TRUCK
It’s true that the red truck is a very popular farmhouse décor for Christmas, but I’d say we should not limit the use of them for just one holiday season. It’s time for a Valentine’s Day DIY.
These old sweaters and cloth material were used for other previous DIYs. The color combination is perfect for this project.
I also need a heart pattern (any size), old pillow stuffing, pinking shears, and a glue gun.
Fold the material, right sides together, trace the pattern and secure with a pin.
Cut along the outside line with the pinking shears.
Now, with the wrong sides together, glue the edges leaving about a 2-inch opening.
Fill with enough stuffing and then seal the opening. I made 9 hearts total, 3 of each color.
Use a serrated knife to cut a piece of styrofoam or floral foam to fit in the truck bed.
To prop up some of the hearts, glue a short length of barbeque stick at the back.
Arrange the mini pillow hearts on and around the truck.
Red truck is now loaded with hearts. I just love the way it turned out...perfect for Valentine's Day decoration!
