Turn Old Sweaters Into Throw Pillows

2 Materials
30 Minutes
Before you donate your old sweaters that no longer fit or are particularly in style anymore - turn them into decorative throw pillows in just a few easy steps!
I absolutely love throw pillows – except I hate the expensive price tag that usually comes along with them. I never can justify spending the money on them when I know the next season or holiday I will want new ones. So instead, I always make my own! I had just cleaned out my closet and pulled out a bunch of sweaters and shirts that no longer fit so rather than donating them (well a few at least) I turned them into pillows that I was able to use as decoration props for holiday photo sessions I did for friends.
Start with any sweaters or shirts of your choice
Flip inside out and sew across the bottom
Fill with stuffing or a pillow form and sew closed
Make decorative flowers with strips of fabric and hot glue
Twist and roll
Adhere with a safety pin to pillow
Ta da!
They make beautiful holiday pillows or photo props!

What do you do with the sleeves? and the collar ? Love the idea of reuse recycle.

Yes looks great. With the sleeves stuff and sew and use as a neck rest or leg rest. Always use leftovers lol. Great job.
