I had this old cream colored sweater that had a little stain towards the bottom. Instead of throwing it in the trash, I thought it would make for a great pillow case! I am into the neutral look and I liked the ribbing on the sweater.

Here is the sweater.

You will obviously need a pillow as well.

I laid the pillow on top.

Then used a fabric crayon and ruler to mark were to stich.

I am not great with the sowing machine but straight lines are really not that hard!

You will need 3 lines, where the neck hole was, and on either side of the sleeves. For the bottom, the "right" way would be to sew in a zipper but because I was too lazy and just tucked the fabric in so I can easily remove it to wash. Similar to a regular pillow case you would use on your bed.

Cut the extra fabric off.

Is this not an adorable pillow case? It goes so well with the neutral feel I was going for and it was FREE!
