Fall will be here next week and the first thing I think about when its starts to get cold...(besides wishing I lived further south) is how can I make my space look like fall. I love the colors of the leaves in fall and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Pumpkin spice lattes. And of course I love all of the cute pumpkin decor you see on the shelves at Hobby Lobby and Homegoods/TJ Maxx. Problem is you can literally go crazy and a little broke with all of the cuteness. I've gathered a few Super easy DIY pumpkins you can make yourself for a fraction of the cost in the stores. And you can totally customize them and carry it into Halloween. These are 4 easy scrap wood and no sew projects/ crafts anyone can do.
First you have your super easy scrap wood pumpkin. This is made with 2x6 and a 1 in. round dowel for the stem
These are super adorable and I love the variety of things you can do. You can make them in various sizes and transition it easily into Halloween
The next scrap wood DIY pumpkin project consists of hot gluing scrap 2x2 pieces of wood together. You want to do varying lengths with the longest piece in the middle. The stem is a simple 1 in round wooden dowel decorate with flower wire and raffia.
OK now for the no sew options. These have to be my absolute favorite because I can't sew. icon But you don't need to know how to do this. This is the lazy girl pumpkin hack.
Gather a few twigs from the back yard and some round Styrofoam balls and stick it in to make a stem. I life using twigs because well its free and its organic.
wrap the fabric around the ball add jute and go nuts with your creativity.
I am loving everything about these super easy DIY pumpkins.... Now I need a latte.
