Gather your supplies

For this project, you'll need:

  • fabric
  • scissors
  • thread
  • needle
  • hot glue gun
  • pumpkin filler/stuffing
  • natural jute twine
  • fabric for the leaves
  • plate
  • marker
  • twigs (I used real ones from my backyard)

Trace plate on fabric

I used a regular-sized dinner plate for this and your pumpkins will be mini-sized.

Cut our the circle

It should look something like this!

Thread your need and sew

This part is actually really easy! Just weave in and our with your thread and needle. You'll see the fabric start to bunch up.

Stuff your pumpkin

There are lots of options for pumpkin-filler. I just used what I had on hand!

Close the seam

Just pull the thread so your pumpkin closes. Then tie it off, so it's nice and secure.

Cut out leaves

I used another fabric I had for the leaves. Just cut out a small leaf shape for this part.

Cut some twine & glue it to the pumpkin

Let several inches of twine hang off the pumpkin. You'll need to use this to wrap around your twig later.

Hot glue your leaves on
Insert and glue your twig stem in

I just grabbed a little twig from my yard. Once you glue it in there, wrap your twin around it a couple time to give it a finished look.

All done!

Now it's time to decorate with them!
