Fun way to repurpose old Jello molds for fall.

Find old molds

Honestly the hardest part of this project was finding old Jello molds in thrift stores. And... I have to admit it was the most fun. 😁

Clean and Paint

I gave my mold a quick washing with just regular dish soap and water. I tested painting my molds with and without adhesion primer. It wasn't necessary if using chalk paint. I did like the look of the white underneath the orange paint, so totally personal preference on layering colors. I did 1 with the white/primer base and 2 without.

Cut stems

I found an old Branch that had fallen from a previous storm and simply cut it to the size that I wanted using a hacksaw. I cut mine 6 in so that I had room to add ribbon around the stem without it being too short.

Cut fabric

Since I'm not one of those normally crafty people... I did not have a huge supply of fabric and decorative items, so I just went and used what I had laying around. I don't think you can go wrong with burlap and Buffalo check. Plus I cut off pieces from an old fall decoration that I wasn't using anymore.

Decorating

I just tied the strips of fabric around the branch. Since it's just a decorative item I didn't bother gluing or anything like that. The knots seem to hold it together easily.

Finished!

The price of this project honestly depends on how much you spend for your Jello mold and how many materials you already have.

I haven't started decorating for fall quite yet but these are going to be really cute on my table. I'm ready for the next season.🎃
