Steampunk Inspired Repurposed Pumpkin Patch

Hi there Hometalk Friends! I am a big fan of repurposing in the garden. It's a creative way to recycle cast offs while adding whimsy and it's c-h-e-a-p! When I showed my repurposed pumpkin patch to Favorite Son, he loved it and said it looked Steampunk. I agreed...
My inspiration started with an old roof turbine I saw at a yard sale. Call me crazy, but it was calling my name and telling me it needed to be a pumpkin--like my vision of tea infusers as acorns! So...when I saw this guy at an estate sale, I was ready to make a pumpkin!

When I found the copper mold at the same sale, I started to think pumpkin patch. I really liked the idea of using different metals and I constantly see similar molds at thrift stores so the hunt was on!

A little digging in my utility room produced the assorted knobs pictured above. I wanted something taller for the turbine's stem so the flowerpot was perfect. I painted all of the "stems" green and added only a few copper accents to the turbine.
Voila--pumpkin patch!
