Framing- help! What can I do to fix this problem?
I just finished a very complicated, elaborate needlepoint piece that I am very proud of. However, I cut the canvas too close to the stitches to frame it properly. Over 300 hours and I don't know what to do to be able to adequately display this stunning canvas. Help! What can I do to fix th8s problem?

How about spray adhesive it to foam board larger than the piece. Then you can frame it. The foam board would look like a framing mat.
I would take it to a hobby store that does framing....shouldn't be too expensive and they can answer questions for you. Most do a very good job.
Hand or machine stitch your work to another piece of aida cloth or similar, then frame.
What Olivia said! I would stitch the new cloth all the way around the piece, not just on one side and possibly using a contrasting color or maybe a black cloth so it would look like an intentional bit of design!
Have done this myself and attaching a contrasting or complimentary fabric around whole piece worked well and gave some extra frame and matting options.Don't forget to apply a stop-fray spray or liquid at edges of original where most likely to get further damaged.Good luck!
