Hello.
Per link below....One of the most important things when you care for jade plants is to make sure that they are watered properly. Never let a jade plant dry out completely. But also, do not water a jade plant too often, as this can cause root rot. Don’t water your jade plant on a schedule. Rather, water your jade plant when the top of soil is just dry to the touch. If your jade plant is losing leaves or has leaf spots, this is most commonly caused by too little water.

Jade plants do best in pots with well-draining soil, Robert. Usually you wait for the soil to dry out before watering again. Here's a great link on the care of jade plants:

Hi Robert, I'm assuming you'd like to propagate your Jade Plant in water? Since they're succulents I always tried to root their cuttings (leaves) in soil rather than in water. If they do take root in water the cell structure get's confused (if that makes sense) and when you pot them into soil, the roots need to adjust to a completely different environment before they can start growing properly.
Most succulents will rot when grown with too much water. It's like their cells get overfull and burst. Sometimes cuttings will root in a small amount of water, but I've always found that Mother Nature knows best and so I take my cue from a plant’s natural habit of growth. You can get a whole bunch of succulent tips here.
Hi,
Jade plants propagate easily, just place cutting in water and wait.
Enough to cover the stem - leaving leaves out of water.

Hi! I save my small glass jars that yogurt comes in, make sure the ends are in water and within a few days, you can transplant them into a small pot. All of mine have done well. Don't let them dry out too much, as they establish themselves, but, don't keep them wet either. Good luck and stay safe!
