  • Depending on what you're going to hang from them, yes. Just be sure to check the weight capacity on the package.

Hi Judy, yep command strips would work for blinds and curtains etc. Just make sure you get them with a high enough weight capacity.

Judy: each package will tell the weight limit. (I've also had better luck with the strips when I don't hang anything on them for a couple of hours.)

As others said, I'd be careful about putting too much weight on command strips. If you want to hang curtains without attaching hardware, perhaps try a tension rod across the top of the window.

Get the kind of curtain rod that attaches with just two small nails. If you need to remove them you only have two tiny holes to fill. You could also attach a small strip of wood at the top of the window frame and screw it into the top of the wood. Hang your curtain rod from it.

I have used them everywhere but if the item they are holding is heavy, you will want to step your game up to gorilla tape. As long as the surface is clean and dry, you should be okay. If your windows sweat, you might have an issue getting it dry enough to adhere.

  • I've used these for hanging photos, canvases, etc., but not on windows. I would make sure you get them for more than enough weight for whatever you plan to hang.

They can be used to hang decorations, lights and wreaths wth indoor windows . They were very helpful of hiding wires around the molding as well in the case of holiday lighting, the electric cord can run around the case molding and be clipped in discreetly with the saller command adhesive hooks.

I've used them for everything from hanging Christmas lights, to decorative objects to hanging wreaths. The trick is to use the ones rated for outdoors outside and the indoor ones inside. Make sure you have a clean, solid surface to adhere to. They usually remove cleanly, but, on occasion I have had paint come off, so check your surface. I have one on the window on my front porch and it has made it through two winters holding seasonal wreaths. The same for my front and back door. Good luck!

What are you wanting to hang up around your windows? You need different size command hooks or strips depending on what you want to hang.

In the past we have had technical difficulty with Command strips, lost a beautiful porcelain plate in a frame to Command Strips that did not hold up. I am not saying we did not use the correct weight, we did, go over the weight rather than equal to or under the weight, assume nothing.Best to you.
