I've seen ceramic bowls containing small gifts as a friendship bowl. A local university has a project called the Empty Bowl project that is for feeding the hungry that is similar to a friendship bowl. I would think the doily one or a coiled rope one would look great, too.
Hi Barbara Jean. I'm Cindy. I did a bit of research on this topic. I had never heard about a Friendship Bowl. This is what I learned: Most Friendship Bowls are made out of pottery, and then painted. Some are quite beautiful. Here's a saying that goes with it. "The Friendship Bowl is a gift that keeps on giving food for the soul. The bowl was designed for the tradition of sharing food with friends and family. The circle of friends who share this bowl is a reminder of the gift of fellowship." Good luck Barbara Jean and Happy Holidays.
Thank you everyone!!!! After looking through my endless piles of notes, I was mixed up on my wording. It was actually a kindness bowl. But I did find it. Now I'm focusing on the actual friebdship bowl. Thank you ladies!! Merry Christmas!!
