How do I melt wax from a broken candle?

I broke the jar that my pumpkin scented candle was in and would like to put it in another container. I need to melt the wax. Tried the microwave, but even at a low power, it seemed to “cook” the wax.

thank you for your help!

Place your wax in an old glass jar ( I reuse food jars) put the jar in a small sauce pan with some water in the pan. Heat the water over low/ medium heat. Until your wax has melted, then pour in your new container. Keep an eye on it, stirring the wax occasionally. And watch the water level in your pan, so it doesn't boil dry.

You need to use a double boiler method. You can put the wax in a small metal bowl and set that in a pot of boiling water. It will liquefy the wax so it can be poured

Wax has been used in craft for years. A double boiler might be the best way to do this. It heats up but will no burn the candle.

When melting wax, I use a crockpot. The crockpot was purchased at thrift store and used only for melting was for firestarters. This method takes a little time but worth it!
