Just find a box the size you want and decorate it. Could be wood or thick cardboard, cigar box. Have fun.
Here's a memory box at Michael's but I think you should cover it with pretty paper. Suggestions are dvds, photos, momentos, and such. I would suggest putting things that are special to the two of you that maybe no one else would know the meaning. An example is that my granddaughter and I used to take long walks and she would talk to the cows so a small cow would be something I would be in our box.

If you want something to display, a display frame can be bought at Joann's, online etc. I think it might be more fun to have a "secret" box that you two can decorate together. Any wooden box with a lid would do. How about a wooden treasure chest. Make the decor mean something. If you went on a trip together, a decoration from there would be good.... Mexico/ fringe.... Disneyland/ Disney characters something like that. Her favorite color of paint.... lace whatever has meaning for you two. Then just start collecting the things that are important to you both. A small bottle of sand from the beach you walked on.... you certainly get the idea. The most fun is the making and collecting. When she's an adult, what a treasure to look back on. Good luck and have fun.
Kelli has said it. That’s the way to go. Depending on your granddaughter, you could use paint with sparkles, glued on butterflies, a mermaid or ballet shoes stencil, stripes of $1 sparkle fingernail polish, hot glued gems or flat marbles, a glued on napkin ring with dress gloves through the ring. And paint the inside with a lush color or mother of pearl, or line with pretty paper or felt. A few small jewelry boxes and bags would be very special. Best wishes, Leslee. ☺️
