How to update globe lights?
We have large opaque white pendulant globe light in our kitchen. I'd like to keep them, but I'm thinking about updating them with a cage to add color and interest. Any DIY suggestions?

Can you share a photo? It will help with ideas! :)
You could use wire or embroidery hoops painted in the color/finish you choose.

I've attached a picture below. This is in the dining room; in the window you can see the reflection of 2 smaller globes that are in the kitchen. I LOVE all your ideas! Thank you!
I'm so glad I've found Hometalk and I'm sad for anyone who hasn't found it. GREAT website, GREAT ideas from like-minded people.
There is a hack where someone bought wire baskets at Dollar Tree, turned them upside down, punched a hole in bottom, and hung over the bulb, snugged up to the fixture. Maybe you could do that?
Hi Jeri Jo. Just this afternoon I saw some awesome light fixtures. They were small chandeliers in cages. They really looked awesome. You could watch a couple tutorials on You Tube to make the chandelier yourself. Then all you would need is the cage. Wire waste basket from Dollar Tree. Good luck Jeri Jo.
Just a thought, might work for you or give you inspiration:

I've seen several people change to the cage or mason jars on farmhouse sites. They look great. Just make sure it's heat tolerant.
Have seen post where they changed the color using Elmer's glue and food coloring. Just paint on and have a whole new look.
You can color glass jar with elmers glue and food coloring if heat safe that should work here too.
