How do I make a memory box?

I want to make a memory box for my granddaughter. It need to be large but not too large for her to carry around. She started college this year.

Hi Angie. I love the idea of using a hard sided travel case. You can easily decorate it inside and out to suit all the wonderful memories. Create a padded memo board on the interior lid and she can leave it open for display. If you're feeling creative, you can make a book style memo board with several layers of cardboard and fabric for the top and make dividers in the base for fun items other than pictures. Best part is that she can just close it up and go.
