Rose, what a wealth of info you shared! I've made necklaces by cutting strips from beneath the armpit area of T-shirts. Cut them into about 3/4-1" widths and then stretch each round band and the edges curl. Group several together and take a small piece of another strip and wrap to hold the "strands" together. Great soft necklace! You can dress it up by pinning on a brooch or even a fancy hair barette.
