I would like to hang some wallpaper in my camper. I don't really want to spend lots of money on paste. Does anyone know how to make paste from home supplies?

    Hi Chris,

You can make old fashioned wallpaper paste with wheat flour, sugar & water. I was surprised to see the sugar because I'd be concerned that it would draw ants, but a lot of the recipes that I found use it. Click here for that recipe. I also did find one that uses cornstarch. Click here for that one. Look at both of them and decide which one you want to use. Wishing you the best.

Why do you want to do that?

Okay, but if it is not completely dried out, you could be inviting mold damage by putting wallpaper over it. Just a thought.

Just buy prepasted wallpaper. Soak it in water, book it, and put it up.

Wall paper paste isn't that expensive and absolutely worth the expense since it is key to both adherence of the paper and to keep the paper looking good for many years. When you factor in the cost of wall paper and your time installing it, the cost of paste is not very high.

You can get prepasted wallpaper! You just get it wet to activate the paste. If you already have the paper and it’s a small area, you could try rubber cement, if you have some.
