You could use a drill and a small bit.
I use a phillips head bit on a drill for mine.
Drill bit. Add a piece of painters tape to the spot where you want hole makes it less slippery to get the hole started. I have no idea why you would damage a phillips head drill bit to drill a hole.
A drill bit designed for wood will work just fine.
If you're worried about doing it with an electric drill, you can try a hand drill. I like these for precise holes because you have a little more control over them and they're not as fast as electric drills.
I would use a drill and drill the holes so you dont end up cracking the resin.
What I have done is get a nail about the size of the hole you want to make, hold the nail with a pair of pliers or vise grips, heat up the pointed end over the flame on my gas stove, shut off the flame when the nail is heated to red hot. Push the nail through the resin and enlarge the hole by making circular motions with it. Repeat the process for any more holes.
This is not as neat and precise as a drill bit going through the resin, it works in a pinch when I don't take out the drill for a quick need.
I would use a ceramic/glass drill bit.

Hi Mary, I would use a drill bit specifically made fore tiles. Put a piece of masking tape over the spot where you'd like to drill the hole to keep the drill bit from slipping
Hello Mary,
