Where in your area is the best place to find unusual and great decor?

Although I love estate and yard sales and auctions my town has a wonderful facility that really beats these as the items are all FREE! Here are some recent treasures. First is the beautiful hand painted vase. Got this Saturday. The mirror my daughther and granddaughter spied in the glass pile. Then yesterday my husband and I found the darling Victorian spool bed. This is such a great asset that I wish every town and community did this.

Nowhere in the Charlotte area/surrounding areas that offer what you have described.

If there were such a place would you frequent it?

This isn't really like a store. It is like a garage, and can get very junky esp on busy days and hot days when volunteers (it is manned by volunteers who straighten things out etc.) But stuff goes like hot cakes and you can get everything from antique dolls to out of print books, to sterling silver etc.

You bet I would (is the Pope Catholic?). It would be an awesome way to bring items from my own home that I have tired of. While it is by no means trash, it could certainly be another's treasure. What an amazing concept to repurpose items. Anyone want to open this type of market/facility with me?

Wish I had a place like that to go to. I sell a lot of stuff on Ebay. I'd be there every day.
