My sweet husband thinks our Home Office Makeover is all about him but this fabulous lamp upcycle project is going to make him wonder who it's really for!
I just had to add a little touch of femininity to the space with a DIY Lamp Shade to my desk area! The project started with an outdated burgundy and gold candlestick lamp and a thrift store sweater.

This green sweater was perfect for covering the small lampshade. A few more supplies from my favorite craft store and I was ready to begin!
It was a little tricky to get it attached but once it was glued on I was able to pretty the shade up with a ribbon of tulle and flowers.
Next it was time to change the look of the lamp's base. A simple paint job with my favorite metallic spray paint did the trick!
Such a pretty little lamp for my desk area! I love the color and that it is a DIY lamp shade from a castoff sweater. Because I had many of the supplies on hand this entire project cost less than $5!
