A Strip Quilt and Matching Rag Garland for New Baby

A strip quilt is about the easiest quilt to sew and the results are always wonderful. By just using two different materials cut into the same size squares you will have a finished quilt in no time at all!
You will need equal amounts of each blocks, after it is cut spread it out exactly like you want it.
take each row and put in a pile then you can begin sewing the rows using alternate design squares. Then it will be time to sew all the strips together.
Don't worry if all the squares are not exactly perfect that's the fun of having a quilt that's handmade and not store bought.
I added some embroidery thread to add some knots here and there to give it that vintage feel.
I made a rag garland I thought that the new momma could hang the babies first rattle etc. on it. For some more instructions stop in at Sweet Tea N' Salty Air !
