Aladdin Inspired Tassels

We are a tad bit obsessed with Disney in my home and recently saw the new Aladdin movie. I won't talk to much about it, but the movie was filled with the most beautiful and bright colors. I couldn't take my eyes off the screen and am pretty sure I was meant to own Jasmine's wardrobe and live in her castle... until then, I made these tassels and love them so much!

Start making your tassels by cutting equal pieces of brightly colored yarn and tying them together in the middle.

Pull the yarn down and tie around the entire tassel about an inch down.

Trim the bottom and add a drop of glue on the knot. Now it's time to start adding the metallic ribbon around the tassel. Use a hot glue gun to secure the ribbon.

Add as many layers of ribbon as you want.

Add beads to a piece of embroidery floss or twine and tie a double knot on both ends.

Tie the beads to the top of your tassel or around the metallic ribbon. Use a drop of hot glue to secure.

Add a couple larger beads to the top of the tassel and secure with hot glue.

How pretty are these tassels?

You can tie the tassels to a basket, hang on a hook in your home. Use them as curtain ties or hang them from a lamp.

You could make lots of these and turn them into a garland, hang them around a party or give them out as party favors...
